cctv-database.com ("we", "us") is a non-commercial, open data project (CC0 1.0 Universal) cataloguing CCTV camera information. This policy explains what data we process, on what legal basis, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by OVH (Gravelines data centre, France, EU). When you access the site, the hosting infrastructure automatically processes technically necessary connection data in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the page or resource requested, referrer, and browser/operating-system information.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure, stable, and error-free operation of the website). These logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID: G-72Z614Y6QN), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how visitors use the site and collects pages visited and time spent, approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP), device/browser/operating-system data, and referral source.

Legal basis and consent: Processing is based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. Google Analytics is loaded only after you have given consentvia our cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

International transfer: Personal data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which an EU Commission adequacy decision exists; Standard Contractual Clauses additionally apply. Your IP address is anonymised by Google before storage.
