About
CCTV Camera Database is an open-source, community-driven database of IP camera specifications. It covers 1,300+ cameras across 67 brands — from budget consumer WiFi cameras to enterprise PTZ domes and thermal imaging systems.
Why this exists
Camera spec sheets are scattered across vendor PDFs, retailer pages, and paywalled databases in inconsistent formats. This project normalises them into one machine-readable structure so they can be searched, filtered, compared, and reused.
What makes it different
- Every camera has a verified source URL (manufacturer datasheet or reputable retailer)
- Integration configs for Frigate NVR, Home Assistant, and Blue Iris — with real RTSP URLs, not estimates
- Structured data: JSON schema, CSV export, REST-like URLs for every camera
- Community contributions welcome via GitHub issues or pull requests
Open source
All data is released under CC0 1.0 (public domain). The source code and data are on GitHub.
Disclaimer
Specifications are compiled from manufacturer datasheets and reputable retailers and may contain errors or become outdated. Always confirm against the official datasheet (linked in each entry) before purchasing. This project is not affiliated with any camera manufacturer.
